Float-In Theater

Inspired by our senior designer's college experience - inviting students to movies in the Olympic pool at the aquatic center - we proposed the ultimate way to double up on family fun. The float-in theater was created by placing a huge 159" widescreen in a hidden soffit and using 12 hidden speakers plus 2 subwoofers. We even added an underwater speaker to not miss any of the action. To make it easy to transform the space we automated all the lighting, a/v control and shading. To keep the fun going outside, we installed a 30" flat screen hidden in the bench seating, that faces outward to the hot tub. If they want to catch the game outside a 15" wireless flat panel is at their disposal. Upstairs we used Stealth Acoustic speakers to eliminate any negative impact on the faux finishes.
